A child's drawing deserves better than a drawer
Every line tells of a moment. Memora turns your child's drawing into a relief piece, reproduced exactly and framed to last for years.
No retouching.
The relief comes from a direct, point-by-point conversion of the drawing. Shaky lines, colouring outside the lines, wonky letters: everything is kept.
No hassle.
You send a photo taken with your phone. We check that it can be used before starting production, and we let you know if it can't.
Made to last.
A one-of-a-kind piece, delivered framed and ready to hang. The drawing stays intact, even when the original paper wears out.

I'm a childminder, and the parents of a little one I look after gave me a frame of a drawing he made for me, for my birthday. The tears came!

The questions we get asked
Everything you need to know before ordering
How do I photograph the drawing properly?
This is what determines the quality of the result. A photo taken with your phone is more than enough, as long as you avoid reflections: the relief is calculated from the intensity of the colours, and an area where light has bounced off looks paler than it really is. A dark felt-tip under a reflection can then be mistaken for white paper, and the line comes out hollow.
Sheet lying flat, whole, on a plain background
Soft light, no reflections
Reflection, fold, tape and cut-off edges
One last point, often forgotten: photograph the drawing the right way up. The frame keeps the orientation of the drawing as it appears in your photo, without rotation.
- Indirect light — near a window but not in direct sunlight, or in a well-lit room.
- No flash — it creates a halo in the centre and washes out the colours.
- Sheet lying completely flat — folds reflect light and create white areas. Smooth out the sheet, or place it under a pane of glass.
- Phone held straight above — a photo taken at an angle gives a slightly distorted drawing, which will be reproduced as it is.
- The whole sheet in the frame — without cropping the edges, without your shadow on it, and without another sheet next to it.
- Plain, contrasting background — a table or sheet darker than the paper lets us isolate the drawing automatically.
Accepted formats: JPG, PNG or PDF.
Minimum resolution: 700 pixels on the shortest side. Any photo taken with a recent phone is well above this threshold, as long as you don't crop it heavily or zoom in.
One drawing per order: each frame is modelled from a single photo. For a second frame, place a second order.
We check every file before starting production. If the photo does not allow a faithful reproduction, the order is cancelled and refunded, and you are notified by email.
What happens if my photo is rejected?
Every file goes through an automatic check before production. There are three reasons for rejection:
- Blurry photo — the focus did not lock, or the phone moved.
- Insufficient resolution — the image is too small, often because it was cropped or taken from a messaging app that compressed it.
- Incorrect framing — the drawing touches the edges, or something other than the sheet is visible: table, wall, other papers. These elements would be engraved in relief along with the drawing.
In that case, your order is automatically cancelled and fully refunded, before production starts and before any production time. You receive an email stating the exact reason for the rejection.
You don't need to do anything: the refund appears within 3 to 5 working days depending on your bank. You can then simply place a new order with a new photo whenever you like.
This check is there to save you from receiving a disappointing frame. It is better to retake a photo than to make a one-of-a-kind piece from an unusable file.
Which drawings give the best result?
Felt-tip drawings, with clean lines and well-coloured areas, on plain white paper. That is where the relief stands out best: the outlines are crisp and the solid areas form full surfaces.
Coloured pencil works too, but a very pale or heavily hatched line comes out more subtly. An old drawing whose colours have faded will give a poorer relief, however good the photo.
Two cases need particular attention. Squared paper: since the squares are printed in colour, they may appear in relief just like the drawing. And fully coloured drawings, where almost the whole sheet is covered: the relief then lifts most of the plate, which gives a more solid than graphic result. In both cases, write to us before ordering and we will look at the photo with you.
How long until I receive my frame?
Allow 15 to 20 days between your order and delivery, and delivery is free. As each frame is made to order from your drawing, there is no stock: this time covers production and then shipping.
Will the drawing be changed or retouched?
No. The relief comes from a direct, point-by-point conversion of the drawing, with no shape recognition or automatic retouching. Shaky lines, colouring outside the lines, wonky letters: everything is kept, because that is exactly what makes the memory.
Two technical adjustments are nevertheless applied, without ever changing the line: lines too thin to be printed are widened symmetrically, and the tiny gaps left by uneven colouring are filled in.
What happens to my child's drawing?
It remains your exclusive property and is used only to make your frame. We never share it without your explicit consent.
What if the frame arrives damaged or doesn't match?
We remake it at our expense. This applies to a frame damaged in transit, a manufacturing defect, or a reproduction that does not match the drawing sent. If a new production is not possible, you are refunded in full. Contact us within 14 days of receipt, with photos.
